How Can I Help

Ways to volunteer:

  • Serve our guests at the Pantry on a Saturday morning or Wednesday afternoon, by welcoming, packing, and/or carrying their provisions.
  • Pick up and deliver to the pantry our free bread allotment on Mondays.
  • Help to pack and deliver food to the shut-ins, and take the time to visit with them if they seem lonely.
  • Bake goodies to share with volunteers and guests on a Saturday morning.
  • Pick up and deliver various orders to the Pantry from local businesses at a specified time.
  • Be on call to help unload and stock large deliveries made to the Pantry.
  • Negotiate deals and solicit various donations throughout our local region.
  • Gather, organize, and document additional sources of assistance to share with those in need.
  • Develop and institute creative fundraisers and food drives.
  • Develop a “Diaper Ministry” for us. This is an area of great need. Diapers are expensive and sparingly donated, yet a constant need of mothers of small ones.
How can you help?
  • Volunteer
  • Donate money, food, and personal needs items on a regular basis. This economy has long-lasting consequences.
  • Provide us with gently used bags and boxes of the appropriate sizes. Please nothing too large or too small to pack groceries in.
  • The Pantry could use an occasional visit from a good housekeeper, to keep things clean and fresh.
  • Pass the word; we need all the help we can get.
  • Pray for us, the volunteers and guests alike. We all need God’s grace.
  • Brain-storm new ways to volunteer.
  • Ask…
